Abstract
I. Statement of Problem and Hypothesis:

A. Problem: Do the types of timberwind instrument (poplar, oak, or pine) affect the burn rate?
B. Hypothesis: My hypothesis is that pine will burn the straightawayest because it is less dense.

II. methodological analysis:

A. Variables:
Independent Variable: Types of wood (poplar, oak, and pine.)
Dependent Variable: How fast the wood burns.
Controlled Variables: Size of wood samples, tempter of turn on, method of ignition, create of wood samples.

B. Materials:
Lighter (torch)
Wood such as (poplar, oak, pine)
Stopwatch
Water
Chiminea

C. Procedure:
procure wood such as (poplar, oak, pine) cut into identical shape/size.
Use the lighter (torch) to burn the wood in the chiminea and meter how long it burns. Do the process 9 sentences (3 trials for apiece piece of wood.)
Make sure to put out the fire with the water.
Collect data then place on board.

D. explore:
Topics researched included burn rates of wood and calculating great deal and density of wood samples.

Analysis of Data:
I tack together out that in the first trial when I situated the dissimilar types of woods in the fire, poplar was the fastest. Second was oak then the pinewood came in last. Next, I found out that when I placed the poplar it was still first to finish burning, randomness was oak, last was the pinewood. Finally, I found out that in the deuce-ace trial the three woods; poplar, oak, and pine still stayed in the same burning order. The come time for pinewood is 5 minutes, oaks average time is 4 minutes 2 seconds, and the average time for poplar is 2 minutes and 33 seconds.

I found out when burning three different types of wood: pine, oak and poplar that each burned at a different rate.
