When I was young, I was very friendly. I was always willing to entertain and never noticed when I was giving too much. I would allow my friends to borrow my clothes, my sneakers, even money, not realizing they would not do the same for me. One day, I was in need of pot money and two of my friends told me they had no money to give out. Of course I was not upset because I believed they did not have any money, but when I overheard them joking about me not having any cash and their plans for the day I became disappointed. Two people I had no problem doing for, and helping, did not want to help me.
This is when I realized people are not have to help me just because I have helped them.
Although my friends did not allow me borrow money for the bus, thats not what upsets me the most. I still could not understand why my friends were critiquing me in a cruel way while I was not around. I also thought to myself, if they cared so little about me in my time of need they could not be my true friends. Days had passed by, and I began to drift by from our friendship.
