21st of June, 1911 Dear Diary, Today is Midwinters day and we acquire had a wonderful day. We celebrated with cake, wine and we even had English flags. in spite of appearance it is lovely and warm with the fire however show upside it is -50 unusual ?C and pitch black. In fact, it is rather scary out thither. For the ancient few days though, there have been terrible blast storms threatening to blow opposite our hut. The nourishment is respectable and it is staying fresh with the cold. Although, it is nothing like the food I rush at home. The men are entirely awaiting the day when the sun get out rise and we go forth be able to ring off to the Pole. I have good expectations that my men will work to get there forrader that retched Norwegian, Amundsen. I do f ear that he might have the upper fall out somehow. I have heard that he has brought dogs that are apply to the cold.

Never the less, I will expect strong and irritate him to the South Pole. Our adventure hasnt nonetheless begun, but it briefly will. Life in the hut is acquiring slow and I need to get some dexterity back into it, somehow. I am afraid that the men will be in any case used to doing the bare minimum for so long, that they wont be able to keep up on our violative to the Pole.
