As a member of the Genericville council, I affirm the final vote on whether or not to using up a pesticide that has stirred some controversy. The pesticide is Malathion and is a part of the organophosphate chemical substance family, Malathion is one of the oldest pesticides and has been used since the year 1950 (Cox 2004). Within populations of any size, decision making whether or not to use the insecticide, the risks and hazards should be taken into consideration. These considerations involve the hazards, exposure, the dose response, and the risks associated with the use of malathion. My decision is based on tuition that I commit been able to find, regarding the use.
It has been determined that Malathion is used for divergent types of insects and in various settings. The main use of Malathion is to control mosquito outbreaks that verbalise the West Nile Virus and also used to control return flies. It is used in agricultural settings by way of snip dusting to control various kinds of pests. It also has been used to control pests in spite of appearance homes and private gardens and by prescription to treat head lice in humans and fleas on pets.
